A boxing club is adding mental health support to regular training as its members come out of lockdown.
Fight4Change, a charity founded in 2013 and based at Black Prince Community Hub, Beaufoy Walk, Vauxhall says that people have been struggling during the pandemic, but they want to help them get back into shape, both physically and mentally.
Founder Rebecca Donnelly said: “We learned a lot in the first lockdown. We Started with Zoom lectures, but that didn’t work. Then we discovered we could do in-person training for people with mental health needs, because they were classified as long-term disabilities. So we started doing outdoor and on-to-one sessions with them.”
